Deniliquin High School vs Emergency Services

On Friday 9 June, representatives from the emergency services, staff at Deniliquin high School and students participated in a basketball game round robin competition.

Three games were held. Game one was between the teachers and the students, with the teachers coming out as the winners. Game two was the emergency services against the second student team – the emergency services were the winners. The final game was between the emergency services and the teachers and the teachers were the overall winners on the day.

It was a fun day for all involved. On this day the students and staff were also lucky enough to be able to wear pyjamas to school as a fundraiser for Syrian refugees. An extended lunch break was had by the entire school to celebrate and reward positive behaviour and the learning program. Overall, it was a fantastic day for all involved.
